THE BEST NIGERIAN MOVIE OF 2010 PREMIERED IN ATLANTA USA WITH THE STARS!

Atlanta, GA (Mar. 1, 2010) – The anticipated movie premier of “The Figurine(araromire)”, a movie by Nigerian Filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, staring Ramsey Nouah, was shown for the first time in Atlanta, GA at the prestigious High Museum of Arts (Woodruff Arts Centre).

Presented by Iyàlódè Productions and APINKE Magazine and sponsored by AfricanReel.tv, and Paylid.com, the premier filled a sold out, packed venue with over 200 African movie enthusiasts, and left them with nothing but great reviews! The suspenseful drama, which was filmed in Nigeria, was heavily praised by the audience for its visibly great production quality, talented acting skills and unpredictable storyline. The guests were full of commendation and reverence for the filmmaker extraordinaire and producer, Kunle Afolayan as he entertained a Q&A Session after the screening.

Overall, it was a night buzzing with glitz, glam and excitement for the future of Nollywood (a term coined for the Nigerian Film Industry) and the African film industry. APINKE Magazine Editor, Veronica Oladeji, said “it was probably the best African movie production I have seen to date. The talent and skills captured by Kunle Afolayan, can bring the Oscar home for Nigeria one day”.
